To those not familiar with the GRCF, its primary mission is to raise funds to assist GR residents seeking help from accredited local service organizations. We do an annual fundraising campaign, and our biggest fundraiser event for several years has been the spring Fitzgerald’s 1928 Lager Run, the 5-K race throughout the town with a festive finish at Hurrell Field. As an all-volunteer group with minimal expenses other than Lager Run-related costs, virtually all funds raised go right to the social service programs where they are needed most.

Please help us continue to support organizations that need aid to enable them to continue to support our residents. Most recently, the GRCF has provided funds to the Human Needs Food Pantry, Neighbor to Neighbor Network (direct financial and other assistance), Chrill Care (meals for the homebound), the ARC (programs for individuals with disabilities), the local YMCA, and the GR Volunteer Ambulance Squad. The GRCF also offset the cost of the weekly grocery jitney service for seniors, helped to reinstate/improve the Benson Street  Garden (vegetables harvested and donated to the Human Needs Food Pantry), and provided funds for food gift cards and other essentials for residents. We welcome grant applications from any accredited local agencies that provide services to GR residents.

We also welcome anyone who would like to volunteer with the GRCF.

Please help us help our Glen Ridge neighbors. Donations in any amount to the GRCF, a tax-exempt 501C(3) organization, are fully tax-deductible and employer-matchable.

THE GLEN RIDGE COMMUNITY FUND

NEEDS YOUR HELP TO HELP OUR NEIGHBORS

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Glen Ridge residents need your help. This is in many respects a relatively affluent town, but even in “the Glen Ridge bubble” our neighbors from time to time confront severe financial and personal difficulties. Since 1953, the Glen Ridge Community Fund has been working to help provide resources, funding services to residents in need.

Thank you for supporting the Glen Ridge Community Fund!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Glen Ridge residents need your help, and contributing to the Glen Ridge Community Fund is a caring way to do this. The consequences of the pandemic and its aftermath remind us all that appearances of prosperity can be deceiving. We know that residents faced financial difficulties and families dealt with food insecurity. Since 1953, the GRCF has been working to help provide resources, funding services to residents in need.

To those who are not familiar with the GRCF, its mission is to raise funds to assist GR residents seeking help from accredited local social service organizations. We do an annual fundraising campaign, and you’ll find our volunteers behind the registration tables and assisting runners at the beloved annual Fitzgerald’s 1928 Lager Run, whose profits benefit the GRCF.

To those of you who have helped the GRCF assist our neighbors in need over the years - and especially in these recent challenging years – we thank you so much!

Thanks to your support, in 2020 and early in 2021, the GRCF, in partnership with Neighbor to Neighbor Network/Bloomfield Human Services, provided funds for GR residents to receive grocery gift cards, enabling them to buy what they needed with privacy and dignity.

Please help us continue to support the organizations that need aid to fund their vital programs. We are grateful to support these agencies, including The Human Needs Food Pantry, Neighbor to Neighbor (direct financial and other assistance), COPE (mental health and addictions), Chrill Care (meals for the homebound), the local YMCA, and our own GR Volunteer Ambulance Squad, among others. Once again, the GRCF is providing funds to offset the cost of the weekly grocery jitney service for our resident seniors.

Please help us help our Glen Ridge neighbors. Donations in any amount to the GRCF, a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) organization, are fully tax-deductible and employer-matchable.
